Translating Neurological Recovery into Real-World Independence Across the Lifespan

At NeurOT, we believe progress should extend far beyond the therapy room. Our practice is dedicated to neurological occupational therapy for children and adults, with a focus on helping each person participate more fully and confidently in everyday life.

Whether that means helping a child navigate the school day with less overwhelm, helping someone with POTS manage daily activities without exhausting their energy, or supporting an adult returning to work after a concussion, we start with a simple question: What do you want or need to be able to do in your everyday life? Then we build therapy around helping you get there.

Our Mission

Neurological conditions can affect much more than movement. They can change how you process sensory information, manage your energy, organize your thoughts, move through your environment, complete daily routines, and participate in the things that matter to you.

NeurOT bridges the gap between neurological care and everyday function. Through individualized occupational therapy, we identify the challenges getting in the way of daily life and develop practical strategies to help children and adults build greater independence at home, at school, at work, and in their communities.

Occupational Therapist | NeurOT | Raleigh, NC

I believe that quality of life isn’t something achieved over a lifetime. Rather, it is experienced continuously in the small, everyday moments. For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate about people, their stories, what makes them light up, what motivates them, and what feels difficult for them. As an occupational therapist, I find it a privilege and an honor to partner with individuals and families as they navigate their unique journeys and explore how to maximize living.

My path into healthcare began at The Ohio State University, where I earned my Doctorate of Occupational Therapy and was inducted into Phi Theta Epsilon, the national honor society for occupational therapy. During my doctoral studies, I developed a deep fascination with the brain-body connection, specifically how nervous system regulation directly impacts how we process, adapt to, and move through the world around us. This academic foundation reinforced my commitment to whole-person care: that effective therapy must look beyond isolated symptoms to support the whole human in their daily environment.

Shortly after graduating, my clinical path took a global turn: I moved to Eswatini in southern Africa to establish a hospital rehabilitation department from the ground up, training local healthcare technicians to deliver foundational rehab across the lifespan in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Upon returning to the United States, I worked as a school-based occupational therapist, supporting autistic and neurodivergent students as well as children with learning differences as they navigated complex sensory, social, and academic environments.

Helping establish NeurOT here in Raleigh, North Carolina fulfills a long-standing vision: creating a space where individuals across the lifespan are seen as whole human beings first, rather than a collection of medical labels. When complex neurological challenges interfere with daily life, simple routines can become daunting hurdles. Whether guiding sensory regulation for a child, post-concussion protocol for a teen, or daily task management for an adult with POTS, FND, or hypermobility, my focus remains the same: translating practical strategies into real-world progress, easing symptom burdens, and restoring confidence in everyday life.

Outside the clinic, I am grateful to call the Raleigh community home. You can usually find me hiking local trails, getting lost in a good book, or spending quality time with my friends and family. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward engaging more fully in your life, your family, and your community!
